A poor run at present..

But a great day's racing at Newmarket. Confront in the opener is our first selction. Highly thought last season and could be slightly btter than a handicapper. Rip Van Winkle is our choice in the 2000gns. He ran no sort of race in the Dewhurst but is better than that and is the choice of stable jockey. Steel Cut in the 5.45 at Goodwood is our final choice. He won with a bit in hand last time out and can defy the hike in weights.

    I never even saw the big race. I never get the winners of the classics myself.
