Cheltenham is here.....

The meeting as usual starts with the Supreme Novices where Cousin Vinny is a warm favourite. At the price I don't think there is any value so an each-way chance could be Golan Way. Having spoken to trainer Sheena West, I know the horse is fit and well and she is hoping he can finish in the first four. My best bet of the opening day has to be Tatenen in the Arkle. He looked a star from the outset, jumping superbly and apart from his run in Ireland he's done nothing wrong. Binocular looks a good thing in the Champion, although Paul Nicholls has been raving about Celestial Halo. The interesting runner in the 2.40 is Golden Flight. A prolific winner in France he is now with Nicky Henderson and the fact that he makes his debut for the yard in this race suggests he still has plenty of ability.

  1. Looking forward to a great days action tomorrow. My shortlist contain a few interesting horses at decent prices, with Kalahari King as the main bet. Showed his liking of the course a year ago in the Supreme Novices, a race that always points to the right direction in the Arkle. Showed a fluent, willing attitude last and is value for a whole lot more. 5 point win. In the 4.00, I'll go for top weight Garde Champetre with the special team behind and hefty antepost bets to his name from the right people. 3 points win.

    Good luck tomorrow!
